THCa Flower vs. CBD Flower: Which One Is Right for You?
Both are hemp flower. Both are smoked, vaporized, or cooked the same way. Both are sold by the eighth, quarter, and ounce. But THCa flower and CBD flower are bred for opposite outcomes, and choosing the wrong one is the most common mistake first-time flower buyers make.
The one-sentence difference
THCa flower converts to THC when heated and produces a full-strength high; CBD flower contains only trace THCa and does not.
Potency
JGO's THCa strains test between roughly 30% and 32% THCa — dispensary-grade potency. CBD flower is measured by CBD content instead; strains like Hawaiian Haze, Lifter, Sour Space Candy, Bubba Kush, and Godfather OG typically test in the mid-teens for CBD with THCa well under 1%.

Drug testing
